Sister, Sister

Since we weren't able to make Amy's graduation in person we decided that some good quality time was due.  Amy was fortunate enough to have some spare time between her graduation and the start of her cardiac radiology program and she wanted to spend some of that spare time in Ohio.  So she drove into town and spent nearly a week with us!

We had such a great time with her in town!  We stayed up late, went shopping, went to the pool, went downtown, did our nails, relaxed, and enjoyed each other's company!  It was so awesome to have my sister here with us.  Even though we are ten years apart, when my sister is here it's like my best friend is in town.  Though I will say I really felt ten years older than 21 year old Amy more so this visit than any other.

I was tired at 9 pm, she was ready to go downtown.  I got dressed, thought I looked cute and fashionable, until I saw Amy who clearly has one upped me on fashionable attire for a night on the town!  While we were downtown, I had ONE beer to Amy's three mixers and two shots...  And at one point I actually asked her if we could just watch our language slightly in front of Kate.  No, I am not 21 anymore.  I am 32, married, with a child.  I might as well be wearing Mom Jeans too.

Despite feeling older than normal, it was so much fun to be together!  It was awesome to have someone other than Brian (no offense, Brian) to talk to, especially about girlie things!  And I was legitimately sad when she left.  Sometimes 7 hours is just too far.

Aunt Amy (Ahm-Ah in Kate speak) and Kate!

Kate even asked for Ahm-Ah the day after she left!  I guess she got used to having another girl in the house too!

Thanks for making the trek, Amy!  WE LOVE YOU!
