Sleepless in Columbus

Last night, I could not sleep, and, consequently, Brian could not sleep either. (Sorry, B.) I'm not quite sure why. I was exhausted when I went to bed, but when I was, ah hem, awoken around 11:30 pm I was wide awake. By 2:30 am, Brian and I were talking about the Superbowl, who we think is going to win, and our house, what we are going to tackle next, and insurance, and all sorts of random things. It was quite funny, really, but to this hour I still cannot figure why my body wanted me to burn the midnight oil.

Anyway (not that you really care about my sleeping habits), in kitchen news, we are really nearing the home stretch! Today, we expect the granite company to visit and measure the countertop areas for the template that will be created, and we get to officially move back into our living room! Aside from a few minor kitchen projects and a little bit of a clean up, next week will be relatively quiet in our kitchen. We're just waiting on the granite which we anticipate will take about a week and be installed next Friday. We are just thrilled with the transformation and are still so happy with the decision to renovate.

Last, but certainly not least, we have continued to update our progress with photos, but we ran out of space in our first web album...so we made another!

It's Friday, it's sunny, the high today is above 25 degrees, I haven't slipped on the ice in over 24 hours, and it's not supposed to snow again until tomorrow morning. Life is good, folks. Life is seriously good!

  1. Sometimes you can get overtired and I guess your body loses its ability to tell that it needs to rest. It's weird.
We love getting almost daily updates on your kitchen progress. You guys have outdone yourselves! So beautiful. Hope to see it in person sometime this spring!
    Missing you in Greenbelt!
    I love you,
