We received the official word today from the doc with the results of my blood test. Fortunately, my thyroid tested out normal; however, it turns out that I have officially crossed the border line and am now on the anemic side with my iron levels. My iron has always been slightly on the low side, but low has always been my normal. Being slightly lower than normal with my iron level could be a cause of my tiredness and exhaustion that I am still experiencing. At this point, there is nothing to worry about. I can either add more iron into my diet or take another supplement - that is, in addition to the prenatal vitamin.
SO, not to worry! Just bring on the spinach!

Actually the bean family, black, red, pinto, etc., have more iron then spinach.
ReplyDeleteWell, I suppose I should've have titled this post as "Got Beans?" Or perhaps even "Bean-O"!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to add some legumes to the menu! Thanks, Grampy!
