Eleventh Hour Errands

As our ninth month rapidly approaches, we are really getting down to the final hour.  We've been very productive over the last couple of days with our 'to do' list and we simply had to share!  Last Friday we received the call that our chair for our nursery had arrived, and on Sunday, [Gangsta] Tom was kind enough to pick it up with his truck and haul it on over to our house!  No, it probably doesn't seem like a major event, but when I say that the addition of this chair makes our nursery nearly done, I do expect some cheering and woot-wooting.

So, OUR NURSERY IS NEARLY DONE!!!

Can I get a woot-woot?!

We do still need to figure out some wall decor, but I highly doubt our little girl is going to come out of the womb complaining that we haven't put a ton on her walls.  We've got the essentials, so if for some reason she does complain about her wall art, or lack thereof, we will remind her that she at least has: a comfy bed to sleep in, a loungy chair to feed and read books in, a dresser to store clothes and diapers and wipes in, a bookshelf filled with books and toys, tons of stuffed animals to play with, two real animals to play with, and some really adorable tissue paper flowers to admire.  BUT, she won't be complaining, so ... we're working on the wall art!

Another milestone we have accomplished over the last couple of days is the passed inspection of our car seat bases.  We took both of our cars and both of our our car seat bases to the local fire department to learn the installation process and be sure that we pass the safety inspection.  (Nothing but the safest for our little bambino!)  Brian and I are now both sporting car seat bases in the back middle seats of our cars!

When I turn around, I see this:

Car seat and Baby not included.

And when I open my back door, I see this:

Jack is going to hate having to jump over that thing.

It was semi-strange seeing the base in the back seat of my car when I drove to work today, being that there currently is no Baby to add to that seat, but we are getting very, very close to meeting our daughter.  Being able to check off some little things from our "to do before Baby" list makes us feel well prepared and ready!

Bring it on, Baby!  We can't wait!
