I've found the best way to remove dry erase marker is to NOT GIVE IT TO YOUR 20 MONTH OLD TO BEGIN WITH!

Fortunately, dry erase markers are just that - erasable...dryly. They wipe clean from a
dry cloth from all non-porous surfaces, or so we've found so far. They can actually make your life easy while also offering a very valuable learning/teaching lesson for your little arteest and you!
So I say, scribble off the page! But only with a dry erase marker...and not on your clothes...or my clothes...or the couch!
Oh, and don't tell your Daddy either!
