Kate was in charge of selling cookies and bottles of water and she made out! She made out so much that she decided she wanted to give each of her 22 classmates $1 for ice cream over the summer in the summer bags she passed out and she still had nearly $20 left after that!
It was a success to get rid of some stuff and not feel too cramped in our basement but somehow I still feel like we've got a ways to go in terms of tidying/organizing. #oneday

In addition to the garage sale, Sarah and I went out for a little girl's afternoon. We had lunch at Sweet Carrot and decided to get a little crafty and paint our own pottery. I selected two little bird dishes because I couldn't paint just one and she selected a kitty piggy bank for her daughter, Rebekah. She is moving to New York with her family in June and we are sure going to miss the company.

| Final product. Kate asked why the birds didn't have eyes and why hers didn't have a heart...Well, my darling, because I'm a perfectionist and I didn't want to not like these when I was done. Sad, but true. And not at all what I told her. |
