Tooth #2

When Kate came home from school yesterday her second tooth was super wiggly.  I definitely didn't think it would come out today, but in the next few days I thought for sure!  But, after some chill time, (and fiddling with her tooth) it was hanging by a thread.  And 20 minutes later she came downstairs with a tooth in hand and a bloody gap in her mouth!

Once again, she was super excited about a potential visit from the tooth fairy!  These things always pop up on me.  So we left milk out, again for her fairy to dip her wings in so that we could see what color she was and set her tooth in a beautiful little container so the fairy could find it easily.  (Thank goodness!)

The fairy left Kate $2 for tooth #2 in a little fairy envelope and proved, once again, that she was indeed still purple.

No more wiggly teeth on the horizon, but I know it's only a matter of time!

Little front tooth gap!

So proud of that little gem!

Examining!

Tooth #2.
Also...still working on where to stash these teeth.  Suggestions?!?!

The Tooth Fairy

People, we have been talking about when the Tooth Fairy will visit for a long time.  Kate has been super excited about the potential visit and FINALLY, the day after we came back from vacation, her first very loose tooth came out!  (I panicked slightly on vacation thinking it would come out there and had a really fun backup plan, but I was saved by one day!)

However, this one day happened to a.) be when our hardwood floors are still being worked on, b.) when the painters came to start painting, and c.) while our house was still not even close to being put back together from being out of town for 9 days and for having major housework done.  So my grand plans to make this first fairy visit really spectacular were slightly modified to just a wonderful visit. ;)

We read that if you leave a little glass of milk out the tooth fairy would dip her wings in and you could see what color she is.  So, last night, we left a glass of milk out and went to sleep.  Kate, Maya and I all slept in Maya's room.  Maya was a teensy bit scared of the tooth fairy coming in the middle of the night.  She asked me several times if she would wake her up and then said, "No, my like tooth fairy".  I reassured her that she wouldn't be bothered!

First tooth in the books!

Loot from the first tooth!  $5 bucks and a really sweet note
from the tooth fairy!

And Kate's fairy is purple! Exactly what she predicted!

The visit from the tooth fairy was a success!  Kate enjoyed it and is already counting down the days for tooth #2 which is currently a tiny bit wiggly!

(Now...what do I do with this tooth?!)
