'Something new' symbolizes the optimism and hope for the future that lies ahead. This may be slightly cliché, but I'll be selecting my wedding dress for this item. (I'm not usually one to jump on the band wagon, but I think this is what everyone else does too...) I suppose I could choose my shoes, or some of my undergarments, but I think the dress is the best option for this item. (I can picture it now, 'Brian, my optimism and hope for the future of our marriage lies in this here pair of brand new panties.') Yeah, I'll definitely be sticking with the dress on this one.
