This weekend Brian and I drove to Maryland to honor Shanel, my brother's fiancée and my soon-to-be official (already unofficial) sister-in-law, at her bridal shower. Well, we both drove, but the boys headed out to catch a movie while the girls stayed in and chatted amongst ourselves, laughed and giggled at the sexy lingerie that accompanied all the gift boxes, and celebrated our love and excitement for Shanel and Travis. Afterwards, we all made an assembly line and helped Shanel tie little yellow ribbons to little silver bells which will be used as our seating card holders. (A very cute idea!)
Shanel and Travis met in college and have been inseparable since. I cannot speak highly enough of either of these two people. They are an inspiration to all of us, and we are extremely excited and looking forward to joining them as they share their nuptials in May at the lovely
Mount Airy Mansion.
In addition to seeing so many greatly missed family members, we also got to see my two best friends: Tamara and Shanna!
The drive made for a short weekend, but seeing everyone was well worth the travel. We cannot wait to see everyone again in May!
