A Perfect Night

Last night, Brian and I headed out of the city and into the corn fields of Ohio to view the Perseid Meteor shower. It's been a long time since I've seen the stars and I forgot how incredibly romantic they are. Gazing up into the night sky invokes such a feeling of peace and calm and simplicity into life. And when you are gazing up during a meteor shower, you get nothing short of an incredible show. The air was cool, the crickets and bugs were singing their night songs, and other than the occasional passerby, the world was quiet. We saw at least 10 shooting stars between us, and had it not been slightly chilly, we (or at least, I) could've stayed out there all night.

I hope it will be clear enough to see the stars on our wedding night.
