Motion Detector

Today marks the sixteen week birthday of our little bump!  Every night, right before I go to sleep, I lay in bed very calm and very still to see if I can sense any sort of movement.  I don't have any background noise, unless Jack is snoring next to me, and I lay completely still trying to detect anything.  From what I understand it is still a tad early to actually be feeling movement, especially when you don't really know what you are looking for, but it is still possible.  I wait for any sensation that may indicate our little bambino is up and playing instead of lounging and sleeping.  (I would just like to state for the record that lounging and sleeping is also ok!  Hint, hint, Baby!)

So far, I don't think I have any news to report on the motion front.  There have been two times that I've felt two distinct, short-lived feelings in my lower abdomen that made me wonder if that was our bambino.  But both times felt different, and I haven't since felt anything that I could point either feeling to.  I know the time will come when it's supposed to.

Until then, I will continue to take my five to ten minutes right before I go to sleep and perform my version of meditating to become more in tune with what is going on inside my body!
