The Big 3-0!

I was born on May 21st, 1982 at 6:34 in the morning.  That was thirty years ago!  And this weekend I was fortunate enough to celebrate my thirtieth birthday in Maryland at Harris Crab House surrounded by my family and friends.  We feasted on all sorts of creatures from the sea, watched the sunset on the bay, hosted a Preakness Pool, and celebrated my first 30 years of life!  It was so nice to celebrate with everyone!

I still don't feel 30, and you're only as old as you feel, right?!  If my age reflected how I felt, I would place myself somewhere in my early twenties.  I mean, I have to at least be old enough to drink legally!  But the numbers don't lie - and 30 it is.  I enjoy the fact that I don't fear being 30 or getting older.  After all, you are what you make of it, and I know this 30th year will be full of plenty exciting things!  (Reminder: We are having our first baby sometime in the fall!)

I know that there will be challenges that lie ahead but whatever is thrown my way will only make me a stronger, more balanced person.  I enjoy who I am still becoming, and, just as I welcomed my last year in my twenties, I welcome my 30th year with open arms.

The Big 3-0!
