Belly First

When I picked Kate up from school today she had a little incident report.  We get these types of reports when something happens that leaves a mark, more or less.  Fortunately, we don't get many of these reports and, of the times that we do, they are just the normal being a kiddo types of incidences.

Today was exactly that.  Kate had decided to go down the slide at her school belly first, against her teachers telling her not to.  The reason this rule is in place is strictly so that the kiddies don't get hurt.  But Kate had had enough of normal sliding and decided to mix it up.

Unfortunately, she ended up skidding a bit on her face when she got to the bottom of the slide on the rubber outdoor play area and ended up with a couple scrapes on her upper lip, nose and between her eyes.  After her bath tonight, she insisted that we put band-aids on said scrapes to make her feel better.

So busted, yet so cute!

That little face melts my heart.  Band-aids and all!

(By the way, the band-aids lasted all of 5 minutes before they were peeled off!  I can't blame her!)
