One of the many perks of being pregnant is your ever changing skin and hair. As we've entered our third trimester, my newest pregnancy perk is something that I like to call "eyebrow eczema". I have no clue where this came from, nor do I have any idea when it will go away, but right on my eyelids right below my eyebrows are red, itchy, dry patches of skin that have appeared out of nowhere. I can only assume it is part of being pregnant!
I confirmed with my OB today that there is nothing to be worried about. She said it may just be related to all the hormones going through your body while you are pregnant. Nonetheless, she said to check with my normal practitioner to see what kind of remedies are out there.
In baby news, all is going very, very well. We have a healthy, growing baby and Mama! I gained another seven pounds this past month which, again, is a bit shocking, but perhaps that's how my body is doing it this pregnancy. And at today's appointment I was tested for gestational diabetes with the wonderful glucola drink. My doctor will call and update me with test results should anything be a bit wonky!
In other pregnancy related news, our appointments are now scheduled every two weeks! Every two weeks! How is this possible?! We're are going to meet our newest little lady much sooner than later!!
UPDATE
A coworker of mine suggested using coconut oil on these dry patches and wouldn't you know, that oil cleared them up in about four days!!! I was so impressed and I highly recommend coconut oil for everything now!
